What you’ll need: 1  tourniquet, 1 long string (i used a suede string), an ornament, pair of scissors and pliers.

Step 1: make 1/4 inch cuts, 1 inch apart 1/4 inch away from edge on one side of tourniquet for the entire length.

Step 2: cut the opposite side of tourniquet, about half way across the width into a fringe pattern

Step 3: insert string in the cuts in a stitching pattern from one end to the other

Step 4: Use the pliers to attach ornament to the string at midway of necklace

Time to have fun with styling …My DIY earrings to go with the necklace.

Wearing: American Eagle vintage slim fit shirt, DIY necklace and earrings.
